H-E1T1-IP E1/T1 over IP TDM Transport System

Our H-E1T1-IP systems offer you a way to extend the range and functionality of your E1 or T1 connections.  A TDM over IP bridge is a device that transports the E1/T1 signal over an IP based Ethernet network.  This is useful for Telecom providers as a means of providing T1 service over their existing packet switched infrastructure.  Another popular application is providing T1 links over low cost wireless LAN bridges, eliminating the need for much more expensive microwave radio links.  Wireless links of up to 20 km are possible with this approach.  H-E1T1-IP systems operate transparently providing a seamless connection to all equipment with a physical E1/T1 interface such as a PBX, Cellular base station, SS7 signaling equipment, or voice mail system.  We provide TDM over IP systems for up to 16 T1 or E1 lines.

H-IP-12ASI 12 Channel IP Ethernet to DVB-ASI Gateway

The H-IP-12ASI is an IP network to 12 channel ASI Gateway.  It allows users to recover up to 12 DVB-ASI transport streams sent over an IP network from an ASI to IP gateway such as the H-12ASI-IP.  The unit uses sophisticated processing to ensure synchronized audio and video content and accurately transfers the Program Clock Reference (PCR) to the output transport stream.  The H-IP-12ASI can accurately and seamlessly receive up to 12 ASI transport streams carried over an IP network.  The versatility of IP networks makes the H-12ASI-IP and H-IP-12ASI pair an excellent solution for transporting DVB-ASI signals from one location to another.  This IP reciever is designed to work with other ASI over IP units that we carry.

H-AV-MPEG2-E   SD-SDI or Baseband Video/Audio Encoder With ASI and IP Output

The H-AV-MPEG2-E Encoder is an SD-SDI or Baseband Video/Audio MPEG-2 encoder with either IP or ASI output.  This unit is popular in both the digital video broadcast industry and in CCTV security systems.  The unit features a high quality output while maintaining a reasonable bit rate of 1.5 to 15 Mbps.  

HD/SD-SDI or Component Video / Audio Integrated Reciever Decoder

The H-HDSDI-H264-D  HD Decoder can decode the transport stream from DVB-ASI , IP network, or off air RF signal into video and audio signals. The unit has several output interfaces for the decoded signal (HD-SDI, SD-SDI, HDMI, YPbPr, XLR, S/P DIF). The H-HDSDI-H264-D decoder features several unique functions, such as the ability to encapsulate the output TS into UDP packets for the purpose of remote monitoring via decoding software on a computer. The H-HDSDI-H264-D decoder is simple to integrate and has a cost effective design that gives users an excellent digital video decoding solution. HD/SD-SDI or Component Video / Audio or HDMI to IP or ASI Encoder

The H-HDSDI-H264-E is a high quality H264 encoder for digital video broadcast. Featuring encoding bassed on the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC algorithm, the H-HDSDI-H264-E is capable of transporting high quality video at less than half the bit rate of encoders using older standards such as MPEG-2/H.263. The H-HDSDI-H264-E has several analog and digital video interfaces (CVBS, YPbPr, HD-SDI / SD-SDI, and HDMI) as well as several audio interfaces (RCA, XLR, HDMI, AES and EUB). The unit provides a network interface for transport over IP based networks as well as DVB-ASI outputs for a QAM modulator. The H-HDSDI-H264-E encoder is simple to integrate and has a cost effective design that gives users an excellent digital video encoding solution. H-HDSDI-QAM HD-SDI or SD-SDI to QAM Agile Modulator For DVB-T and DVB-C

The H-HDSDI-QAM HD-SDI or SD-SDI to QAM agile modulator is used for the insertion of a standard HD-SDI or SD-SDI signal onto a QAM channel for distribution through a Coax network. Our units feature modulation standards for any country in the world, including ATSC (8VSB), DVB-T/H, ISDB-T/H, and DVB-C. The unit fuctions as a QAM inserter. The modulator can be programed for any digital cable channel (2-135) and can be easily viewed by any digital cable ready HDTV or tuner. H-4SD-H264-E Standard Definition 4 Channel H264 IP Video Encoder Module

The H-4SD-H264-E is a 4 channel standard definition encoder that utilizes encoding based on the MPEG-4 / H264 Algorithm. Encoding based on this technique can be more than twice as efficient as encoding based on MPEG-2. Our unit features 4 input channels that are provided in the form of 4 CVBS inputs with BNC connectors for video and 8 audio inputs with RCA connectors. H-AV-MPEG2-D Broadcast Quality SD-SDI Digital Video Decoder

Our H-AV-MPEG2-D decoder units are designed for professional quality head end decoding. Our units provide top of the line MPEG-2 decoding from one of three different input sources.  The H-AV-MPEG2-D offers support for transport streams carried over Ethernet IP (UDP), DVB-ASI, or an optional DS3/E3. When decoding from an IP source the unit offers support for Unicast, Multicast, or Broadcast type streams. Outputs are provided by an SD-SDI signal with embedded audio with an optional second SD-SDI output, two component video outputs, and one S-Video output. Audio output is provided by two 2 analog balanced stereo outputs on XLR connectors with two optional AES/EBU outputs on BNC connectors.  Our unit features integrated management provided by either SNMP or an embedded HTTP web server for remote monitoring and control.  The H-AV-MPEG2-D is an ideal solution for all of your Broadcast quality DVB digital video decoding needs.

H-4ASI-DS3 1 to 4 Channel ASI over E3/DS3 Transport System (ASI to / over DS3)

DVB  ASI is a very common video transport protocol in the digital video broadcast industry. Many TV studios have DS3 links to the broadcast headend.  It is possible to use this link to carry a DVB-ASI stream over the DS3 line at up to 44Mbps. It can carry multiple program streams in either MPEG2 or MPEG4 format. Often it is necessary to transport these ASI Transport Streams from a studio to a broadcast head end. It is possible to transport the ASI over DS3 connections.The H-ASI-DS3 unit can encode and carry up to 4 independent DVB-ASI transport streams over a standard DS3 line.These units are for ASI over DS3 Transport. ASI to DS3 and DS3 to ASI conversion is a cost effective solution for DVB signal transport.

H-DVI-IP High Definition DVI or VGA Video/Audio Encoder/Decoder

The H-DVI-IP unit is a High Definition Video / Audio over IP transport system for DVI or VGA signals. With this unit you can stream a DVI or VGA signal to anywhere in the world over the Internet or other IP based Ethernet network. Use with wireless networking equipment to multicast DVI wirelessly to as many display units as you want.  You can also view the stream on a computer via software such as VLC Player. While lower quality units use JPEG encoding, our H-DVI-IP encoder features H264 encoding which uses less than half the bandwidth of MPEG-2 and produces the best picture quality available. The H-DVI-IP unit offers broadcast quality encoding with a low time delay, typically around 200 ms. Our system offers an optional USB port on the encoder that lets you save the output stream to an attached USB storage device. The unit features an integrated web server for remote management and monitoring. The H-DVI-IP system is perfect for anyone who wants to transport or multicast a DVI or VGA source.

H-GPS Time and Frequency GPS Clock

The H-GPS is a high performance GPS clock used for highly accurate time and frequency signals. A GPS Clock is a combination of a GPS receiver and a high quality, stable oscillator. GPS is used to calibrate the oscillator to remove small biases in the frequency. The GPS Clock can synchronize both system timing and transceiver frequency, and is virtually fail-safe. H-8ASI-MUX 8 Channel DBV-ASI Multiplexer

The H-8ASI-MUX is an ASI transport stream multiplexer for up to 8 inputs. The unit takes the 8 ASI inputs and multiplexes them onto a single ASI output. The output is a DVB-ASI Multi Program Transport Stream (MPTS). The H-8ASI-MUX has an easy to read LCD display for easy configuration and status. H-HDSDI-RF Wireless Video Portable Transmitter and Receiver

The H-HDSDI-RF is a wireless digital video transmission system. The unit supports input of High Definition video and audio and transmits the signal up to 2 miles.  Supported inputs are HD-SDI, SD-SDI, DVB-ASI, A/V, and S-Video. The H-HDSDI-RF is based on COFDM technology and incorporates MPEG-2 or MPEG-4/H.264 based video encoding.  The transmitter and receiver have built in systems to compensate for high speed movement. H-2V-QAM 2 Channel to QAM Multiplexing Transcoder

The H-2V-QAM is a duel channel QAM modulator and digital multiplexer. This unit is able to multiplex two separate MPEG2 streams onto a single QAM. Our unit is one of the world first multiplexing hybrid QAM modulators. The H-2V-QAM unit is able to multiplex two standard MPEG-2 transport streams onto a single QAM. If the video is not encoded we offer encoding solution modules for various inputs. We offer different options depending on the input required. TheH-2V-QAM is availible with an ATSC/QAM input tuner, a DVB-ASI input module, analog NTSC inputs, or an IP transport stream input depending on your needs. The H-2V-QAM features two input bays. Video input from the two modules enters the main chassis where the MPEG program is filtered, multiplexed, and groomed. The two output program streams may be sent to the QAM modulator or be exported via ASI output. With the ability to multiplex two inputs onto a single QAM the H-2V-QAM is truely a unique piece of equipment.

H-RF-SWITCH 2x1 redundant RF 5 - 1000Mhz Switch

An RF switch is used for signal distribution redundancy or for remote RF switching. Our RF Switch has two inputs and a single output. One of the inputs acts as the primary channel while the second is used for fallover protection. When the switch detects that the incoming RF to the primary channel has dropped below a set reference level the unit will immediately switch to the backup channel. The unit can also be switched manually by either its front control panel or remotely via SNMP or RS-232. Our unit features full remote management for setting system parameters an system monitoring.

H-ASI-AMP Up To 16 Channel ASI or SDI Signal Distribution Amplifier

The H-ASI-AMP is a signal distribution amplifier for ASI or SDI signals. We build ASI distribution amplifier units with 2 to 16 outputs. The units accepts ASI and SDI signals at any bitrate.  A key feature of our H-ASI-AMP is that the outputs are reclocked, this resolves any issues with signal jitter and provides a clean output. This not only improves the quality of the incoming signal, it allows for much longer cable runs from the outputs. H-12ASI-IP 12 Channel DVB-ASI to IP Ethernet Gateway

The H-12ASI-IP Gateway is designed to carry up to twelve standard ASI transport streams over a gigabit Ethernet IP network. The unit can function as an IP stream transmitter, converting the ASI MPEG-2 transport stream into an IP stream for transport to multiple network locations. The IP transport stream can also be multi-cast to many different locations and devices.  The signals can even be broadcast to computers running MPEG stream capture software. The H-12ASI-IP can also be paired with the H-IP-12ASI allowing seamless transport of the ASI signals over the IP network.

H-ASI-E1 DVB-ASI Over 4 E1 Transmitter

The H-ASI-E1 ASI to E1 adapter is designed to carry a DVB-ASI transport stream over 4 standard 2 megabit E1 links. This unit makes it possible to transmit a digital TV program signal through a telecom network. This is possible by combining the 4 separate E1 lines into a single pipe for the ASI transport stream. This is useful for TV broadcast signal transport applications where an existing telecom network is present.

H-SDI-IP IP Gateway for SD-SDI Video Transport

The H-SDI-IP is a video gateway for video IP systems. It is often difficult and expensive to set up SD-SDI video transport links between remote sites and central locations. Our IP gateway offers an inexpensive and reliable method for transport of SD SDI video over existing Ethernet IP networks. The H-SDI-IP is an IP encapsulator, meaning that the SDI signal is carried over the IP packet based network. SDI signals have a high bitrate,  typically 270 Mpbs for SD-SDI. Our H-SDI-IP unit transports the SDI signal uncompressed at the full bitrate. This will almost always require a network running at Gigabit Ethernet speeds. For applications where IP network bandwidth is more limited, we can compress the SD-SDI signal into an MPEG transport stream. F-FIBER Fiber on the Reel

We offer optical fiber on reels which are typically used for portable applications. Deploy a fiber cable. Then, when finished, re-coil the cable onto the reel, and take it to the next job. These strong, light-weight reels use heavy-gauge steel for improved durability. These fiber reels also have adjustable braking for proper deployment control.

F-GAS-SENSE FIber Optic FBG Gas Density Sensor System for CO or CH4

Fiber Bragg Gratting (FBG) sensors are a versital new technology for mesuring things such as gas desnity, pressure or tempurature.  Our gas density sensors for CO or CH4 are highly reliable, inexpensive, and have a long operating life.  An optical signal is passed through the sensor and is attinuated based on the density of the gas that the light travels thorugh.  Our FBG sensors are perfect for mines or industrial locations that are hostile to other types of sensors.  Standard Singlemode fiber cables are used to connect the sensors to the control unit, because of this the leads can be very long (>5 miles).  In addition to being tolerant of hostile environments, our units are also imune to RF interference.  Our optical CO or CH4 gas sensors are ideal for any gas density sensing application.

F-KBAND 25 GHz Wide Band Fiber Optic Transceiver

The F-KBAND series wide band laser transceivers are designed for enabling a high linearity optical link for RF over fiber in the K-BAND up to 25 GHz.  The unit can also be used as a repeater for extending the transmission distance of a 30 Gb/s link.  The F-KBAND incorporates a broadband optical transmitter and linear receiver into a compact rack mounted unit.  The F-KBAND can be used for carrying almost any type of RF modulated signals such as RF over Fiber (RFoG), satellite/IF link, WiMax optical link, microwave over fiber, and mobile signals in fiber.  The unit uses a lithium-niobate external modulator to convert input microwave/RF signals to optical waveforms from a frequency range of 100 kHz up to 25 GHz.  The F-KBAND maintains excellent gain flatness over a wide frequency range due to a very narrow line width DFB laser.  Transmission distances of up to 50 miles are possible using singlemode optical fiber.

F-KUBAND 10.7 to 12.75 GHz RF over Fiber Transmitter and Reciever

The F-KUBAND is used to transmit and receive uplink and downlink signals up to 15 GHz.  This is useful for links in between control rooms or NOCs.  The F-KUBAND system offers a high performance alternative to conventional coaxial link systems, both reducing attenuation and eliminating the need for a waveguide.  The unit functions as a transperent link, transporting all satellite modulation formats over a single fiber.  Typically a KU-Band fiber link consists of an optical transmitter that recieves the RF signal and transmits it over singlmode fiber to an optical reciever which converts the optical signal back to RF.  The F-KUBAND link is a cost effective and high performance solution for KU-Band Satellite links.

F-OLT Fiber to the x Optical Line Terminal

Thor Fibers F-OLT Optical Line Terminal is based on Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Networking (GEPON) technology.  This is a compact unit with an internal Layer2/Layer3 managed switch and router.  The F-OLT unit features 1 to 4 optical or electrical ports based on the customers request for the uplink.  Up to 8 Gigabit Ethernet ports are available for the downlink.  When used with an optical splitter the F-OLT unit can provide downstream Ethernet links at up to 1 Gbps.  Our unit provides remote management via SNMP or an integrated web server.  This is an ideal solution for Fiber to the building or Fiber to the Premise applications.

F-2QAMTC Combined Decoder and QAM Modulator

The F-2QAMTC is a high quality digital head end encoder/modulator that tunes and demodulates MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 encoded VSB or QAM modulated signals from off air broadcast or CATV sources. The unit can also be configured to accept an ASI input source. After error correction, it remodulates and up converts the recovered MPEG transport stream onto a new QAM modulated output channel. The Standard F-2QAMTC ships with two tuner / demodulator's. The output of the F-2QAMTC consists of a QAM modulator with an agile RF up converter with an output of up to 61 dBmv that tunes from 54 to 1002 MHz. The F-2QAMTC functions as a digital channel processor.  It is capable of receiving an ATSC, DVB, or DigiCipher® II input signal on any channel in the CATV or broadcast spectrum in 8vsb, 16vsb, or 16QAM to 256QAM modulation and modulating as a DVB or DigiCipher® II QAM signal. The unit then applies the appropriate forward error correction to the received input stream, drops and adds null packets as required by the selected output bit rate, perform PCR correction, and re-encodes with the appropriate output FEC for the modulation chosen. The QAM output signal is then up converted to the new RF output channel using our high performance low noise circuitry. The F-QAMTC is fully controllable via Head end Remote Control software for remote programming of operating parameters or remote monitoring of operations.  With the optional ASI input module, one of the inputs may be delivered via an MPEG-2 transport stream compatible ASI input.

2 Channel Fiber Optic Gigabit Ethernet Tranceiver

The F-2G is used for transporting two Gigabit Ethernet ports over a fiber from one location to another. The units work in pairs with a transceiver on each end of the link. Any network cable connected to the RJ-45 port one one unit is transported to the corresponding RJ-45 port on the second unit. Our units work transparently, meaning they are non-IP addressable and any network traffic traveling through the the fiber link remains unmodified. Any two devices that are connected over the fiber link appear to be directly connected by a standard network cable. This is useful for connecting switches or other network devices in different buildings or for extending an IP network to a far away location. We also offer custom equipment to incorporate more signals onto a single fiber. In addition to Ethernet you can also carry video and audio channels, telephone lines, E1 or T1 links, or even satellite signals all over a single fiber. Our units have a maximum transmission distance of 120 km when used with singlemode fiber. We feature easy to read diagnostic LED's for continuous monitoring of link status and network speed. F-RF-1310TX RF Copper (45-885Mhz) to Fiber Converter / Transmitter

The F-RF-1310TX transmitter is used to transmit RF cable TV signals (45-870MHz) over a fiber optic cable. By converting the RF band to an optical signal the transmission distance can be increased to over 50 miles. The F-RF-1310TX features an easy to read front panel LCD screen that displays relative operating status and fault information. The unit implements a high linearity DFB laser, and features built in pre-distortion adjustment circuity. Typical implementations include an outdoor antenna for transmitting and receiving the signal from the satellite, an L-Band amplifier to distribute the signal, and an indoor antenna array for redistribution of the Iridium satellite signal indoors or wherever coverage is needed. If necessary we can implement optical links to distribute the RF satellite signal over fiber optic cable from either the outdoor or indoor antennas. This can increase the link distance as far as necessary, up to 50 miles if needed. No mater what your requirements we can design and implement a system that will fit both your needs and budget.

F-RF-TX 1550nm Direct Modulated AGC Optical Transmitter (CATV RF over Fiber)

The F-RF-TX transmitter is used to transmit RF cable TV signals (45-870MHz) over a fiber optic cable. By converting the RF band to an optical signal the transmission distance can be increased to over 120 km. The transmitter uses external modulation technology with a direct current laser. This results in no laser chirp, low dispersion distortion, a large extinction ratio, and high speed signal transfer. The F-RF-TX features an easy to read front panel LCD screen that displays relative operating status and fault information. The unit implements a high linearity DFB laser, and features built in pre-distortion adjustment circuity. The F-RF-TX direct modulated optical transmitter can be used in FTTx (10Km) of second-grade service area (Sub-HE) and can also be used in WDM narrow-band multiplexing and IP/QAM. Our RF transmitter units feature dual power supplies for added fault protection. All operating parameters of the F-RF-TX series transmitters are designed for high reliability and suitable for even the most high end applications.

F-1HD-SDI Fiberoptic Transport

Our F-HD-SDI series transmitters and receivers are used for fiber optic transport of HD-SDI video signals. Our units transparently carry all audio and meta data embedded in the SDI video signal. SDI Signals at speeds of up to 3G SDI over fiber can be carried to distances of up to 120 km. Our standard units transport up to 8 Channels of HD-SDI over Fiber, however units to carry more channels of HD-SDI video over fiber can be built opon request. We use a digital re clocking technology to ensure that there is no signal jitter and to provide a clean HD SDI video output. We also offer bi-directional transmission of HD SDI over fiber as well as SMPTE video signals over fiber. The F-HD-SDI fiber units are ideal for high definition SDI signal transport in industries such as digital video broadcast, digital signage, medical, and government applications. These units are perfect for carrying HD SDI over fiber from the studio to the broadcast headend.

F-RF-RX Optical CATV RF Reciever with Dual Internal Redundancy

The F-RF-RX is used for receiving RF cable TV signals (45-870MHz) that are transmitted over an optical fiber. The unit can receive optical signals in either the 1310nm or the 1550nm bands. Designed to work well with the F-RF-TX units, the F-RF-RX are built with two optical receivers as well as two power supplies. When one power supply becomes too warm the unit will automatically switch to the second power supply. The second optical receiver adds further redundancy and system reliability. The F-RF-RX features an easy to read front panel LCD screen that displays relative operating status and fault information. All operating parameters of the F-RF-RX series receivers are designed for high reliability and suitable fore even the most high end applications.

F-ONU Fiber to the Home Optical Networking Unit

The F-ONU is a Optical Network Unit for use in fiber to the home applications. The unit has 45-870MHz RF outputs for digital TV as well as an optical transmitter for the 5-45MHz cable modem return path.  We carry two fiber units as well as WDM single fiber units. The F-ONU is an end point for up to 32 subscribers in a Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Network GEPON system. 

F-MININODE Fiber to the Home Mini Node

The F-MININODE is an HFC return path transmitter and RF optical reciever for use in fiber to the home applications. The unit has 45-870MHz RF outputs for digital TV as well as an optical transmitter for the 5-45MHz cable modem return path. We carry two fiber units as well as WDM single fiber units. The F-MININODE has many applications in Hybrid Fiber Coax systems and for Fiber to the home applications. This is a compact and highly reliable unit for use with analog, digital video, and bi-directional data transmission in HFC networks.

F-EDFA Optical Amplifier

F-EDFA series are CATV optical booster amplifiers for gain spectrum bands within 1540-1565nm. These optical amplifiers are designed for either single channel applications or up to 8 DWDM channels. In most applications, CATV fiber systems operate on a single wavelength with no requirements on gain flatness. The F-EDFA booster amplifier offers low NF with a high saturated output power. The unit features one of the worlds best pump lasers and utilizes OFS erbium doped optical fiber made in America. The unit is designed with heat dissipation and ventilation in mind to ensure a long operational life. A front panel LCD indicates unit status and has a warning alarm, automatically switching off the pump laser when no input is detected. The F-EDFA also features RS-232 and SNMP via RJ45 for remote management and managment. With so many features the F-EDFA series amplifiers offer high reliability and performance for any system 
integration project. 

F-HDMI HDMI Over Fiber Transmitter and Reciever

The F-HDMI transmitter and reciever pair are used to carry HDMI video signals over longer distances. These units make long distance transportation of HDMI video over fiber easy. An HDMI signal connected to the F-HDMI transmitter is converted to an optical signal for transmission over a fiber optic cable. The F-HDMI reciever then receives the optical signal and converts it back to HDMI video.  Fiber optic cables can transport signals to incredible distances, up to 50 miles for single mode fiber. HDMI video cables are expensive and have a very limited range, typically less than 50 ft.  Longer runs of HDMI cables also experience significant distortion of the signal. The F-HDMI system allows a user to transport full uncompressed HDMI video at 1080i/1080p with up to 8 incorporated audio signals over a simple and inexpensive fiber optic cable.  A simple passive DVI to HDMI adapter can also be used to transport DVI signals over the fiber. The receiver also features two outputs, adding to the versatility of this system.  The F-HDMI offer an excellent solution for moving an HDMI signal from one place to another.

F-OS optical switch

The F-OS optical switch is used for system redundancy and backup. With the use of an optical switch, a redundant signal can be routed to an active path in the event of a fault. The F-OS optical switch features low insertion loss which is typically  0.6dB. The unit offers three types of switching 1x2, 2x1, or 2x2. The remote switching ability is very useful for managed systems. A front panel LCD provides system status and provides a means of programing the switch. The F-OS can also be dynamically configured for CADM and OXC systems.

F-E1T1 fiber converters

The F-E1T1 fiber converters allow extension of a single T1 or E1 RJ45  / RJ48c 100ohms port over multi-mode or single-mode  fiber. The standard interface for fiber optics is the SC/APC connector. T1 interface can be framed or unframed. The fiber converter is totally transparent to the T1 signal. Applications include extension of smart-jacks over fiber, PBX interconnection or T1/E1 transport.

1 Baseband Video / 2 Audio / 1 DVB-ASI Fiber Optic Multiplexer

We offer off the shelf and custom solutions for multiplexing many types of signals onto a single fiber. DVB-ASI is a common carrier for MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 Transport Streams. Depending on the bitrate of the MPEG TS, 10 or more streams can be carried in a single ASI signal. These signals are used frequently in Digital Video Broadcast. A common request is to transport DVB-ASI channels over fiber in addition to baseband video and audio. The F-1V2A1ASI is a video multiplexer and video to fiber system that carries one channel of baseband video, two channels of audio, and one DVB-ASI or SDI channel over a single fiber.  We can also build units with more video, audio, or ASI channels by request. We also offer bi-directional transport over a single fiber. Meaning we can transport signals in both directions at the same time over just one fiber.  The video and audio signals are transported by 10 bit digital transmission techniques which eliminates signal degradation. Our units work with standard singlemode or multimode optical fiber with fiber optic transmission distances of up to 120 km when used with singlemode fiber.

F-GPSF GPS Over Fiber Optical RF Transport System

The F-GPSF GPS over fiber system is a transmitter and receiver pair used to transmit the RF Carrier signal from a GPS antenna to a remote location up to 10 Km. There are many advantages to converting the GPS Carrier to an optical signal for GPS over fiber. Fiber Optic cable is much less expensive than low loss coaxial cable used for RF signals.  It is also much smaller and easier to work with.  Optical signals are not affected by RF interference, therefore this system can be used to transport a GPS signal over fiber through a noisy RF environment. The F-GPSF can also be used to transport the GPS signal over fiber from a single GPS antenna to a multitude of locations throughout a building, aircraft, or ship.  

F-CELLULAR Fiber Optic Tranciever for cellular frequencies : GSM, PCS, and CDMA Base Station Links

The F-CELLULAR systems are for linear fiber optic transceivers for cellular over fiber applications specifically designed for high performance optical links between cellular base stations (BTSs), links between BTSs and microcells, or general radio over fiber (RF over Fiber) applications. We offer equipment for CDMA over fiber, GSM over fiber, WiMAX over fiber as well as more modern standards such as 3GPP over fiber. This is useful for extending the range of a wireless cellular network. When connected to a wireless antenna an F-CELLULAR unit amplifies the incoming RF signal, converts it to an optical signal, transports it over a fiber optic cable to a second F-CELLULAR unit, and then reconverts the signal back to an RF carrier for rebroadcast over a second antenna.

F-16V32A, 16 Video / 32 Audio Fiberoptic Video Multiplexer

We offer both off the shelf and custom solutions for video transmission over fiber. Our fiber optics video converters are ideal for multiplexing up to 32 composite video channels and 64 audio channels over fiber. We also offer bi-directional transport of signals in both directions over a single fiber. The F-16V32A is a video multiplexer and video to fiber system that carries 16 channels of composite video and 32 channels of audio over a single fiber. The video and audio signals are transported by 10 bit digital transmission techniques which eliminates signal degradation. F-1TEL Fiber Optic to RJ11 Telephone Media Converter

The F-1TEL is used for carrying a phone line over a fiber optic cable. The PSTN two-wire POTS telephone port can be configured either as an FXO (PBX trunk) or FXS (telephone set/fax machine/dial-up modem) device just by a simple DIP switch setting. Using two of these devices, a  telephone line can be extended over a fiber link. The F-1TEL provides full service for features like caller ID. The converter can be used in service mode, allowing connection of 2 telephone sets. The unit offers SNMP allowing remote management and sensing of converter status, type, version, fiber link status, RJ11 port status, and alarms. The F-1TEL is a simple and reliable solution for data carriers and service providers.  

6x L-Band CWDM Transmitter For Satellite TV (F-6LBAND-CWDM - F-6LBAND-DWDM)

Modern Satellite TV systems such as DirecTV have multiple coax feeds from the dish for different polarities. These RF signals feed into a Single Wire Multiswitch, or SWiM system.  The Thor F-LB61 systems are designed for distributing satellite service such as DirecTV to many different locations from a single dish array.  This system converts each incoming L-Band feed to an independent optical RF channel using a CWDM optics.  All four LNB channels are then combined onto a single fiber output through an internal CWDM coupler.  The combined CWDM optical output can then be split through PLC couplers for fan type distribution.  Thor F-LB systems are an effective solution for eliminating satellite antennas in residential developments.  This platform can reduce a satellite farm down to a single dish and LNB.  When used with PLC splitters, a single Thor F-LB61-CWTX transmitter can deliver satellite TV service to 32 homes.

4x L-Band 4 Fiber Transmitter For Satellite TV (F-4LBAND-CWDM - F-4LBAND-DWDM)

Modern Satellite TV systems such as DirecTV have multiple coax feeds from the dish for different polarities.  These RF signals feed into a Single Wire Multiswitch, or SWiM system.  The Thor F-LB44 systems are designed for distributing satellite service such as DirecTV to many different locations from a single dish array.  This system converts each incoming L-Band feed to an independent optical RF channel carried on a seperate fiber.  The Thor F-LB44 systems are ideal for remote locating a 4 polarity satellite TV antenna up to 10 miles over a 4 strand singlemode fiber optic cable. 

L-Band Over Fiber Satellite RF Transport (Transmitter-Receiver)

The L-Band Transmitter/Receiver pair is used for transporting L-Band over fiber from the antenna to the satellite receiver. L-band RF signals have a very limited range over coaxial cable, typically no more than a few hundred feet. By transporting the L-Band over fiber this range can be extended to over 75 miles. Fiber optic cables are much smaller and easier to work with than traditional copper coax. Additionally our units provide optional 13/18V LNB power as well as Automatic Gain Control (AGC) to manage RF input level. Fiber optic transport of satellite signals is useful in many applications, such as transportation of signals from a remote satellite farm to a broadcaster's headend, uplink and downlink applications, and DBS services.

F-4ASI - 4 Channel DVB-ASI Fiberoptic Transport (4 ASI or SDI over fiber)

The F-2ASI is a copper to fiber media adapter for both DVB-ASI and SD-SDI signals. The unit has four channels that work independently of each other. Each channel can carry either a DVB-ASI signal or an SD-SDI signal. The four channels are then multiplexed onto a single fiber for transport. The signals are then separated at the receiver. The F-2ASI provides four Full independent DVB-ASI/SDI pipes. There are four BNC connectors for the copper inputs and outputs. The optical connections can be configured for SC, SC(APC), ST, or FC connectors. The F-2ASI features easy to read diagnostic LED's for system and link status.

F-1ASI - 1 Channel DVB-ASI / SDI Fiberoptic Transport (ASI or SDI over fiber)

The F-1ASI is a copper to fiber media adapter for both DVB-ASI and SD-SDI signals. This is our standard asi over fiber transport unit for the broadband and broadcast industry. The F-ASI units are used in various applications for extending ASI and SDI video signals over singlemode fiber. ASI or SDI fiber optic transport is based on the conversion of the transport streams digital band to an optical carrier signal which can be broadcast at distances of up to 120 Km. The unit can be single, duel, or have up to eight independent multiplexed channels. The standard input for the ASI or SDI inputs is a BNC connector however other connectors may be used if specified. The signal channels can carry either a DVB-ASI signal or an SD-SDI signal. The signal is modulated onto a single fiber for transport. The signal is then demultiplexed at the receiver. The F-ASI unit provides up to 8 fully independent DVB-ASI/SDI pipes. We offer both compact and rackmount units. The optical connections can be configured for SC, SC(APC), ST, or FC connectors. F-SBAND 5 GHz RF over Fiber Transmitter and Reciever

The F-SBAND is used to transmit and receive uplink and downlink signals up to 5 GHz. This is useful for links in between control rooms or NOCs. The F-SBAND system offers a high performance alternative to conventional coaxial link systems, both reducing attenuation and eliminating the need for a waveguide. The unit functions as a transperent link, transporting all satellite modulation formats over a single fiber. Typically an S-Band fiber link consists of an optical transmitter that recieves the RF signal and transmits it over singlmode fiber to an optical reciever which converts the optical signal back to RF. The F-SBAND link is a cost effective and high performance solution for S-Band Satellite links.
